The most badass Club Date you've ever seen

I've been thinking of getting another Club Date shell pack in the bigger sizes (13-16-22). I went to a downtown store to check out the deals and there it was on the shelf. Silver sparkle and everything. Now, I will probably never set it up like this for a gig but I thought it would be fun to take some pics. I got it more to have a shell bank so I could choose whichever setup I want for any given gig. Lots of options with all those sizes (12-13-14ft-16ft-20bd-22bd).

But man, it looks awesome like this.

I don't think I could fit it all in my car! But given the right stage, I might do it some day.

Yes it's very similar with the two different size bass drums. Although he had his toms mounted big to small. Interesting.

The finish chose me actually. I found the downbeat kit used last year and coincidentally found the matching 13-16-22 today. I would have gotten it no matter what the colour. I just got lucky that everything matches so now I have many set-ups to choose from. Not counting smaller kits than a 4-piece I can do:

12-14-20
12-16-20
12-16-22
13-16-20
13-16-22
12-14-16-20
12-14-16-22
12-13-16-20
12-13-16-22
12-13-14-16-20
12-13-14-16-22
etc.

Just added a cymbal holder to the 22" bass drum. These have become a must! I love the convenience and the look. This position puts the ride in the sweet spot. The traditional spot where they were installed on the vintage kits just doesn't work for me.
