Ok, my latest driver seat position... The cymbal closest to the bottom of photo on left side is only 9". Looks bigger than that there...

9/11/14/16/18/21 ride and a couple of other 10/12 splashes you can only see one part of one of them I think. They are on a single stand. Optional second 9000 primary hi-hat 14" Zilcons or 18" Ziljians mounted... Optional Mapex tomahawk snare, DW performance snare, pictured to right ahead of toms, Primary wood snare is PDP Limited Edition by DW (Mahogany over Maple (7.5") with Copper snares.

There is a special circle of hell reserved for people who put moongel on their cymbals... :p

I like the blue gel and cutting it up in little pieces. It's relaxing. You're just jealous because I have an unopened pack of moon gel... haha It just helps them to decay just a little faster. I don't always want them to continue to ring forever. I don't always like to stop tamp them with my fingers either. There is reason to the rhyme... You will never hear moon gel in my recordings, I promise... As to cymbal moon gellers going to hell, I don't think the two are related, not according to my faith. I don't do religion, but I know where I am going if it exists, and it's not the dark side. There will be instruments with strings, maybe lots of strings, or maybe just 6, will wait and see... I don't know about drums and cymbals up there... TBD.

From the driver's seat of my slightly used but new to me 2015 Gretsch Brooklyn kit 12/14/18 (snare in the photos is from my Yamaha Club Custom kit, as the Brooklyns didn't come with the matching snare) This kit is AWESOME, so impressed with everything about it!

My setup has changed pretty considerably, even the set has changed for the most part. (was playing DW Performance set) Now Black Velvet Collectors, Ride cymbal changed, many cymbal adjustments, and so on- I put my Istanbul Jazz Ride on my Walnut DWs. This 21" Meinl transition ride really fits my rock set a lot better, and I can crash it and ride it. It's a great cymbal. I have oposing dirty sounding crashes, plenty of Ks to keep it light and airy at times. The tone with these stock heads is amazing, I can tune to a chord if I want. I do have 2 performance series drums in there, a snare next to hat and meinl tom/snare (I use tom), and a 16" floor drop tuned for the occasional bottom thud. The Black Diamond Performance drums (2) both sit on outer perimeter of my set. The PDP wood rim snare is tuned fat. The DW Perf snare is tuned much tighter and snappier, and is killer for opposing hat rimshots. I have it at the perfect angle for it. I spent a lot of time optimizing this setup.

New for 2015, at the Hammersmith Apollo in London. It's not my regular touring kit though, but a nice Mint Oyster Keystone kit provided for a short European tour.
