I like progressive jazz styles of the 70s (Al Foster on Pangea from Miles and Jack DeJohnette on Bitches Brew) and some of the older garage rock and prog from the 60s and 70s (Velvet Underground, Pink Floyd) and the "shoe gaze" stuff of the 80s and 90s (Jesus and Mary Chain, Sonic Youth, etc.) and try to play in the that weird, free and wild style.
