So after about a month and a half of owning my new 20" Paiste Giant Beat Crash, I have some pictures.
I haven't actually played it because of my back. In fact, I haven't played in months because of how bad my throne is, I have to save up for a new one.
But the crash sounds very bright, medium sustain, and LOUD! It complements my GB ride perfectly, hopefully they will be joined by a 18" GB crash by the end of the year.
Drums: Ludwig Accent CS Custom, all birch shells.
18x22 Bass
16x16 Floor Tom
13x10 Rack Tom
6.5x14 Ludwig 402 w/42 strand snares
Heads: Remo Coated Emperors over Coated Ambassadors.
Jazz tuning with felt strip on the bass drum
Snares loose
Cymbals: Paiste-24" GB ride, 20" GB Crash, 15" SD Hi hats
Sabian-18" Xs20 crash
Cymbals that I'm not using: Sabian Paragon- 14" Hi Hats, 16" Crash, 22" Ride
Wuhan China, 16"
Sticks: Promark 5B, natural finish
Thinking about making a drumset covered in horse....
