Learning the Lido Shuffle

Go find Steely Dan's Babylon Sisters. That's basically the same groove but much slower and groovier. In fact, that's where Jeff Porcaro got his inspiration for Rosanna.

Of course, there's also Zep's Fool in the Rain. All the same concept, but at different speeds and feels.

"Home At Last" by Steely Dan. also Joan Osbourne has a track, cant remember which one tho. These tracks should be learnt first, Rossanna is hard as, really fast, I still strugle with the tempo of this track, i dont have fast hands but I have been playing Purdie Shuffles for about 7 years now. Another good one is the RHCP version of "Higher Ground" for the double time version, this is killer on the kick drum, single bass. Also it sounds great over Stevie Wonders origional version, bit slower. Have fun with that groove, my personal fave for sure!

Great song - The first shuffle I was ever taught...have fun with it!
