The artsy little devil - Gretsch Renown

Made som changes resently. Lovin' the three piece setup! It's simple, yes, but you can still do some complicated cool fills. Planning on swapping cymbals, miss my Meinls too much. So next setup will be; Meinl Byzance Extra Dry 14" Hi-Hat, Meinl Byzance Extra Dry 18" Thin Crash, Meinl Byzance Vintage 20" Sand Ride, Meinl Byzance Dark 18" Crash
Dark cymbals FTW! :)
Need a new snare, too. Maybe an Acrolite?

Ask and I'll get specs or if you just have questions or anything else.

Ok, enough 'bout that. The pictures!

I love the config, but the kit is hard to see with that color effect. Maybe just a normal pic?

The kit is simple and I like the artwork but photography is my other hobby.

Adding FX to photography in moderation can be your friend. But there comes a point where the FX are wearing the image instead of the other way around. Case in point, these shots make the FX the subject matter more so than the drums so it's hard to have any comment on the drums themselves. Which is probably why I'm commenting on the FX right now.

I guess that's why the thread is called artsy. Your point is well taken, but the OP did say to ask if you needed any specs. I think we have all seen enough drum sets that we can imagine what the three piece looks like. The plane pics are in the Your Gear section.

You got it. Regular pics are boring. And the iPhone camera sucks , so it felt better using Hipstamatic... made it hip!

But here's some for you!

I didn't need specs, nor was my comment about the absence of them. It also wasn't about not being able to discern what a three piece kit might look like or the want for plain pictures (my own hardly ever are). He posted "arty" pictures and I have commented on the amount of their "artiness."

So, to be perfectly clear: awesome kit and great choice of cymbals. I sincerely hope you love it, as I certainly would. That said, I could be more excited by these shots if all that post-process treatment wasn't so much in the way. That's my feedback, to consider or ignore at your own discretion.

Love the sizes. That would be a very fun kit to play! I prefer the meinl to the A's, you should switch back to them.

Yeah. Meinls are awesome! :)
The Zildjian crash and ride are cool, but the New Beat...? It's the one I don't like. IT's so metallic. Blah...
