Pork Pie Black Brass finish issue

just got a bbb from porkie...... and i noticed that when i look at the finish in the light it has a rainbow effect on the finish. is this a defect?
 
I've seen that on the PP BOBs at GC. My Pearl Sensitone BOB does the same thing. I suspect that its shell came from the same sweatshop as yours!

Got proof of that? I'd like to see it. And I mean that specific shell.

I'll be surprised if you find anything, just as you won't find much on Gretsch's relationship with Keller (alleged supplier of Gretsch's "world famous" shells).

It smacks of outsourcing to me when there are at least a half dozen companies flooding the market with cheap non-seamless beaded black-on-brass snares drums over just the last few years.
