PDP Platinum second thoughts

What is the exact size of you bass drum?
Is it the 18x24?

There's a way to fix your problem. Now it's starting to bug me.....

Yeah it's an 18 x 24.

Well I've bought a Yamaha Beech Custom - 10, 12, 14 and 22.

I got it Monday, tried it Tuesday and I love it. It sounds great and the sizes are really good. They also allow me to easily extend the range in either direction.

I got a PS3 for the kick and it sounds really good even with just a quick tune (no muffling of course). I'm going to spend some time tuning these and see what kinda sound I can get.

Now it's time to ebay the PDP.
