Blaemire Supersensitve snare build

I thought since there has been some interest in these Blaemire shells and the build that I did for Greg...aka "Mendozart' (http://www.drummerworld.com/forums/showthread.php?t=48355&highlight=Blaemire) I would post my most recent Blaemire build.

Ever since I got my first Ludwig Supersensitive (5X14) this past summer, I have wanted to build a Supersensitive Blaemire snare.
Every step of this build has been a challenge, but most of all it has been pure and simple fun.
I start the pictures with a shot of a 1970 Supersensitive snare bed (yes...the do have beds) that I used as a "template" as I cut the Blaemire shell.
The rest are of the final process. The Imperial lugs, are from a L&L snare from the 30's- 40's. I had them re-chromed for this build.
I will post an MP3 at the end so you can hear it.

WOW! great job. Your pictures make it look so easy. Awesome recording, safe to say your project worked out nicely

What's up with the bar going across the shell?

This is what they call a parallel snare strainer. The bar connects both sides of the double throw off mechanism. When you lower or raise the throw off lever, it actuates both sides together.
