I'll be honest, I don't like the sparkle. But the cymbals, they're a different story.

I dig the finish.

Is the kit really heavy? I looked into the Reference series once upon a time, but the consensus was that the extra plies just make it a bit too annoying to cart around (combined with back problems, this probably wouldn't be the best option for me).
 
That sparkle looks like what some companies call glass finish. I love it. Good find.
