Hats: Zildjian K Custom 14" High-Definition Hi-hats
Ride: Sabian HH 20" Leopard Ride
China: Sabian HH 20" Thin Chinese
Splash: Sabian AA 10" China Splash
Crash: Meinl Byzance Traditional Medium-Thin 18" Crash

All of these would be good for both rock and pop, I suppose.

I have expensive tastes.

Hats: 15" Paiste 602 Sound Edge, 14" UFIP Natural Light Hats, 14" UFIP Extatic Hats, 14" K Custom Dark Hats
Splashes: 10" UFIP Class Light, 10" UFIP Natural, 12" UFIP Rough
Crashes: Paiste Giant Beat (18/20 Multi), Paiste 602 (16/18/20/22), UFIP Natural (15/18/19), UFIP Experience Bell Crash (17/19/20), UFIP Rough 18
Ride: Paiste Giant Beat 24, Paiste 602 20/24, UFIP 21 Natural Light and Medium Rides, UFIP 21 Rough Heavy Ride, 22" K Custom Dark Ride

If I had to pick my absolute favorites, the 602 Sound Edge hats with all the UFIP Natural cymbals in the other slots.

Get yourself a boxed set of Zildjian A's, and you're good to go. Hundreds or thousands of other choices will all work fine too. You didn't give much info to go on.

For me - current favorites:

Hats - older 14" New Beats
Rides - 21" Sweet Ride, older 20" K
Crash - 18" K Dark Thin

No Chinas
No Splashes (that I use).
Non-favorites that I have - too many to list

Personally, I'm in love with the cymbal setup I'm using at the moment, but like tattoos, cymbals are addictive, so I'm always looking for something new and exciting, but what I have at the moment isn't too shabby...

13" Bosphorus Traditional High Hats (820g top 970g bottom)
18" Sabian HHX X-plosion Crash
19" Sabian 'Chad Smith' Limited Edition AA Holy China
20" Bosphorus Turk Series Ride (2026g, paper thin)
21" Sabian Salsero Signature Ride (3132g)
