Probably the nicest set of those I've seen. When did Ludwig cease making them? I always thing of them as being of substandard quality these look nice. I had the wrong impression. Any details about them... thanks.
 
Well, these are the Rocker 11 series which are wrapped, they have the black/white badge that says USA. They were made in Monroe N.C. shortly after Ludwig moved there plant from Chicago, around 1984. The toms are 4ply shells and I think the kick is 6ply, made of maple and poplar with a brownish speckled paint on the interior. The lugs are from the standard line that was discontinued and the kick legs disappear into the kick drum. They definitely have that Ludwig sound, very similiar to other vintage Ludwig kits I've owned, thanks.
