New Black Panther snare

I've always played a steel snare and decided to look for a wood shell. I found this one and gave it a try. What an incredible sound. I told my wife about it, no I didn't buy it. She bought it for me for my birthday. Pretty surprised when I opened it on Tuesday. Maple and walnut shell with power hoops, Sweet sounding snare.

Very nice! The current black panther range boasts some sweet sounding snares, I think you'll be very happy!

That looks just like my Black Panther, only mine is Cherry and Maple. Size is 6x13. Was $499.00 when in production, now discontinued. Same finish, same lugs...Are you sure yours is walnut? Mapex makes so many different Black Panthers that it's hard to look them up, sometimes.

Those are beauties. I saw one just last week at GC for only $200.
They must have re opened the "regular" Black Panther line somewhat.

I also have the BP Maple/Cherry 13x6" snare. Looks exactly the same save for the size and the new throw.
