DW 9399 Snare Tom Stand--More Resonance?

Has anybody here had any hands-on experience with the DW 9399 Snare Tom stand?

Curious if there's any actual difference in resonance for toms using this model stand as opposed to a standard snare drum stand.

I see what they're trying to do- especially keeping the immediate area under the reso head clear- but I think you can do the same thing with a regular snare stand 'tightened up' on the basket and with Little Booty Shakers installed.

Bump. Anyone using this particular stand for a snare drum? I'm about to buy a new snare stand, and have it down to this one or the DW 9300.
