[SNARE Review] JTP Co. 13X7 PurpleHeart Segment, Shoops Ego Lugs

Hope that everybody is doing well.
Let me introduce my new snare. This is a JTP Co snare, Purpleheart shell in Horizontal grain.

- Solid Segment Purpleheart shell (horizontal grain) 13X7
- Ego round lugs
- S hoops
- Puresound
- Evans Coated + Evans Reso
- 45° rounded edge

What about the sound.. Pretty hard to describe. I owned about 25 snares and this wood is very weird. It's darker than African Mahogany, lots of bass and balanced medium.
I think this is an excellent snare for fat sounds.

That is a great looking snare. The hardware and finish are killer.

Yess indeed, like this snare but not my favorite one.
