So yeah...here we go...more drums!

18x22" Bass (x2 - second one not shown)
16x16" FT
14x14" FT
9x12" TT
8x10" TT
7x8" TT

They sound great...of course I knew what to expect. The finish is *beautiful* - it's flawless and almost like looking in a mirror, it's so smooth. These kits are by far the best deal on the market today, hands down. You get top-shelf quality and sound for a mid-range price.

I'm not crazy about how I have the 8" and 10" mounted, I may get rid of the DW tom stand and just use a pearl double-tom stand. There's more chrome there than a Harley dealership.

I'll post more pics once I have time to take some nice ones...and some sounds when I re-tune and do them justice.

I shall say nothing.

I shall silently & solemnly mark my attendance on this thread by going down on one knee in praise of yet another glorious kit offering from Vin.

Thank you Vin for our daily.. aah... weekly high.

Amen Aydee...

what a glorious kit that is. I think you should set it up with the two kicks though, and record a video for the whole world to see, so you can shower us with the nice-ness of your kit and let us bask in the glow of the double bass beats that you bring forth...

So tell me, When does your drum shop open for business? Really nice looking bud.

Haha! Abe...I'm laughing hysterically right now...that's just too much...

I actually tuned both kicks last night, it was the first thing I did. I set it up w/ the Pearl pedals the seller included and played around w/ some double-kick stuff. I honestly couldn't not find a tonal difference between the two kicks...Pearl is insanely consistent.

I'll set it up this weekend w/ both, if for no other reason than some pretty glam shots of the whole kit together.

Vin, WOW DUDE nice looking kit cannot wait to see it all set with the other kick...now let me get this straight does this mean that your other masters kit is gone and we are now on to this one? I cannot keep up with your gear! As GD said...when does the shop open...I want to be first in line...ROFL

Seriously nice looking kit...post more porn with sound ;o)

That's extremely hot! How do you reach that Zilbel in the heat of the moment though? :)

Thanks! That's actually a Sabian Alu-Bell (solid aluminum). I don't reach it at this point...I've got some cymbal re-arranging to do. I went from a pretty standard 4pc to this...so I sort of just scooted everything aside to accommodate the extra toms.

I might stick the bell in front of the toms, along w/ my 10" Paragon splash that isn't pictured here as well.

Jim/GD - the drum shop has been opened for a while! Due to being a bit short-staffed and low on inventory, I only sell one kit at a time. ;)

I'm not a Pearl fan but those are sexy. Damn I hate you ! You always seem to find the good deal...Grrrr !!!!

LOL !!!!

Ha! Thanks. I did get a killer deal here...especially once I sell the extra kick. I told the seller I almost felt guilty...almost.

I find it strange that there are so many negative comments on DW about Pearl drums. As far as ply shells go, these are the fattest, warmest, LOUDEST I've heard. I'd easily pick these over the DW kits I've had in the past - but I guess that's just a matter of taste.

As far as I'm concerned, Pearl has knocked it out of the park with these MCX drums.

Ah.

Now I got to change my pants.

Thanks for having ridiculously sexy instruments.

Geez.

But seriously. It looks great. The Masters MCX have always been my fav. from Pearl so you done good with that.

Congrats. What does this make 3, 4 kits?

very nice looking set up man, and it look like you have a flag in your BD to me haha, but again a very nice buy

Thanks! 3-4? You haven't known me very long, have you? :D

Pearl make good quality, solid, good-sounding drums at good price points. I think most of the Pearl-bashing comes from the Export series (which were always decent for their price point, well made at least) and the ISS hardware that has plagued their lower-series kits for years and years. They've made a couple of blunders in the past that has dampened the general brand reputation even though their drums are as good as anybody elses'. Personally, Pearl don't do it for me - but I can see objectively that it is a superb kit and equal to any other on the market.

Other than the ISS blunders, the rest of their hardware is absolutely top-notch.
