My LUDWIG & RMV kits...

I just took a few pics the other day of my new Classic Ludwigs I ordered back in August.

They've been over at the rehearsal space, and I decided to gig with the RMV Concept kit
and the Paiste 2002 set-up - great sound and light weight (saves the old man's back :) ).
So I set-up the Ludwigs at the house with the Dimensions...

Here are pics of both kits...(I posted pics the RMVs ages ago, but here are some more pics.)

Both sweet kits mate........but I REALLY like those classic maples!! What is it about Ludwig that causes me to drool?? One day I'll 'live the dream' and have a set of my own....red sparkle I think....or white marine pearl....or natural maple....or......

Enjoy 'em man.

Is that a second bass drum mounted as a Gong? Most gongs I have seen have an extra large head. One that extends past the shell by an inch or so.

Thanks. I toyed with getting White Marine Pearl for the Ludwigs.

Maybe next time. : )

Yes. An 18 x 20 kick mounted on stands. I wanted it double headed like
Sucherman, Castronovo, Peart, etc... Prefer the tone of double headed
over a standard gong drum.

I just love the look of black on grey, maybe it's my outlook on things but i just really like it. I love the way it has the matte sort of hardware but hopefully it stays on a bit better than on my snare.

Thanks...

Actually, it's not powder coated. No chipping or flaking. And the black lugs
are made from a carbon fibre composite which makes the shells extremely
light weight and very resonant. That's why I decided to gig with them. Like
I said, "saves the old man's back". : )

I pulled out the old 2002's case and took a quick pic
(not the best, but you get the idea).

Here's the set-up again:

Paiste 2002 Cymbals (Gig Set-up)

10" '2002' Rock Splash

15” ''2002' Sound Edge Hi-hat

18" '2002' Medium

19" '2002' Power Crash

20" '2002' Ride

20" '2002' China

Couldn't help myself...I took a few more pics when I got
home this evening. lol

I pulled the Dimensions Medium Heavies out of the set-up
so now it's all 'Power' models. (See new driver's seat pic.)

Plus a nice close up of the cannon - 18 x 24 kick.

gorgeous kits. I love your cymbal collections too it shows an amazing attention to detail. I just can't help but think the artists that made those cymbals would be proud to see your collection.

I absolutely love both of your setups!!!

great idea for the gong bass drum, i may end up copying you.

but are you sure the bass drum is 24"x18" and not 24"x20"?
it looks too deep to be an 18" to me......

Beautiful indeed.

How well are the RMV's made?

Thanks.

Very well made. Extremely durable. I purchased the pro line Studio Shell Concepts.
Some people have expressed concern over the lugs since they are a carbon fibre
composite. I've had zero issues and no nobody I know has. (I have a few friends who
also bought them when the were available Stateside - no problems whatsoever in 5 years.)
