They are base drum rolls.

At about 2:07 he starts single stroke rolls with both feet on the bass drum. (Double bass drum pedal or two bass drums.)
He is putting a couple of accents on the bass drum beats.
He is also playing ghost notes with his left hand on the snare drum.

all one foot.... right hand following the foot... left hand filling in the blanks
