Hello All,
I am a 16 year old drummer and I have been playing jazz for the past two-three years.
My drumming inspirations are: Mel Lewis, Buddy Rich, Elvin Jones, Art Blakey, Jim Chapin and many others can't name them all on the top of my head.
I built this drum kit with my dad in 5 days lol. It was fun.
Sizes: 16x16, 8x10, 10x12
Snare is a Pork Pie not home built but it is 6.5x14
Ill be using this kit for jazz gigs I may have coming up.

Same sizes and layout as my smaller kit. Nice! I notice you've also got the Pearl bass drum riser. Nice bit of kit, that.

my dad bought everything without telling me. I wish the sizes were 18, 10, 14 but its not. I wanted calfskin heads on these drums or at least fyberskyns.

That looks amazing!! You should be really proud and thankful to your dad.

I hope you both enjoy it for many years. :)

Cheers!

The sizes you have are much more versatile than you think. I use mine live all the time and they cut it for everything I've played recently. Big halls, small halls, small rooms - the lot. 18" bass drums are great, but a 16" will do well if you really learn to play it.
