Hey crew,
This is so weird, but kinda funny if you think about it.
Saturday night my primary rock band played a casino that we haven't played for a couple months, and I invited a few old riding buddies, as one of their wedding anniversaries was on that date.
Well, word spread, and we ended up having over 170 H.A's, Wanderers, Jus Bros, Booze Fighters, and a few other clubs show up. Security went NUTS, and thought it was gonna be a rough night--even called in the local Sheriffs in case of trouble! (there was no trouble)
We did 2 encore sets, the bars were a-buzzin, and no problems, except for a dude getting his 1960 panhead backed into by a geezer.
At the end of the night, the "lounge manager" came up to us, had 2 guys volunteering to help load our equipment, (which we took him up on) and gave us an EXTRA $100 each! (we also got about $22.00 each from the tip jar)
He said that "those motorsikle guys" tipped like banshees, and he said he'd recommend us to the general manager to play more often.
Geesh, I made over $250 for 4-1/2 hours of playing and hanging out with my friends.
Yeah, life is pretty good sometimes...
Cheers,
C. P.
