We're pretty much relegated to playing creepy bars and dedicated music venues around town as we don't own our own PA. I just bring my kit to gigs and occasionally the guitarist's amp because he doesn't have a car. Ugh...

My kit is a 4 piece Yamaha plus HH, crash and a ride. 2 cowbells and quite recently a Speedking and a splash. Stick bag and throne of course but I suppose that's a given...

too much..... lugging / setup / pulldown is the worst part of drumming...

so ....

a Gibraltar rack on casters (wheel it in / wheel it out)

and either:

5 piece a-kit with 3 cymbals and hats + stool and sticks / mallets / brushes / rods and rug

or

5 or 6 piece e-kit with 3 or 4 cymbals and hats + stool and sticks + pair of powered speakers and power board and rug

and a hand trolley

and a repair kit with:
gaff, cable ties, spare cables, spare beater, hihat clutch, felts, wingnuts, drink, tools

I'm often tempted to take a spare KD pedal and hihat stand too....

My kit (four or five piece),pedal, cymbals & hats, cowbell, stickbag, mikes and cables, mat when needed, "first aid kit (for the gear, not me)" . If I give the guitarist a ride...
