Dear Drummerworld,

just as a teaser one picture of my newest love. Just picked her up and I have bandpractice tonight, so I'll am going to make pictures there. All the details will come soon. I can only say one thing; Mike Portnoy played it ;-).

Aydee: Ever since 08-02-2007 your kit was rightfully the winner of my "probably favorite finish on the forum" award, but I think it has competetion now ;-).

Pic doesn't work; don't have time to fix it now. That's even more of a teaser for you all...

Late night Edit: teaserpic up...

Franky boy, I hope you don't tease your girlfriend like this. The buildup is killing me. Really bad form you naughty boy. I thought I was just about to view some fantastic drum porn and you pull a trick like this? AARRRRRGGHHHHHH.

Neeeedd piicctttuuuurrrreeeee!!! And specs and such.

sweet looking snare man, really good pic with the light reflecting along the drum - spec's?...

Ok, you've redeemed yourself a little. Beautiful finish & nice lugs. Can't wait to see the finished kit. I see you're mounting it on a Pearl DR. I just got the same rack last week & will post soon but only one photo at a time of course!!!

Sorry to let you all wait this long. I am at work right now so can't give you what you want yet.

I've been setting the kit up this morning in my living room so I could put all the memorylocks in place and figure out what was the best way to set it all up, and offcourse to be able to bask in the glow of my wonderfull kit. I was so caught up this morning in setting my kit up that I almost forgot work, I barely made it in time :p. Tonight when I'm home I'll give you all the details on the kit though.

@ Eddiehimself; you're not that far of, but on the other hand you are..

@ KIS; never thought you'd need a rack? I thought you were about simple drumming, just hats, kick and snare ;-)?

@ Ainulindale; the finish is so much better IRL (as always)

Drummerworld, I present you my DJ Drums Custom Maple kit.
WWS-1.jpg

Sizes are:
7x8
8x10
9x12
13x14
14x16
20x22
7x14 Snare

The finish is White Wolf Sparkle and in real life it's very very sexy.

It's a full maple kit with reinforcement rings and sounds absolutely gorgeous. It's what I've always wanted in a kit and I was offered a pretty good deal. Nice detail is that both Mike Portnoy and Neal Morse played last summer.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RO3Co_oMjsY http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a4ercODRZmk

I have one of those Pearl racks with it, and those thing absolutely rock. It takes some time adjusting everything, but now I'm set up it will save a lot of time in the future. Enough talk though, on with pictures..

Wow frank, I am super jealous! It's a gorgeous kit and I bet it sounds even more awesome than it looks!
Heh, can I come over and play those monsters? :)

Nice kit dude!!

Here are two pics of your kit being played by Mike Portnoy!

(by the way, I sold this kit to Frank)

These pictures where taken by Mattias Vanderhoeven during our gig with Neal Morse at Sweden Rock Festival, last summer. During our gig, Mike Portnoy and Pete Trawas came on stage, and played with us, a song of Transatlantic. Great fun! Later in the show Mike came on stage again and jammed with us, during Stranger In Your Soul.

Enjoy this great kit!

You're sort of right Frank. I did a 30 gig tour once with just kick, snare & a couple of cymbals + hats. Great for the technique but hard work. I have quite a complicated kit for a simple drummer but I like lots of flavours & textures to my sound. I'm going to post next week in this section because I've just given my Spaun babys a make over and added some very sexy Murat Diril Dark Sea effect cymbals.

Anyhow, enough b$%^%cks about my stuff, your new kit is a huge WOW!!! Great finish, lovely sizes, fab lugs, cool rack and a great drummer to hit them. What more could enyone want? I've never heard of DJ Drums, but they look nearly as cool as me! Hehe.yeah right. I'll have to look them up. Some great history to the kit as well. That's always a nice touch. The very best to you and go enjoy those beauties. BR, KIS.

Nice set man!!! I like the finish, looks great!!!! just a question.. What sabian ride do you play? HH maybe??? I like its sound, so tight and clear... And dont clean your drums.. Mike Portnoy played it.. jajaja
congratss...

Beautiful kit Man! God (Portnoy) played on your kit!!!!!!!! , You will now be playing like a demon!!!!l

@ Collin: Thanks for posting those pictures! Really great to see Mike play my kit :-D

@ Phillip: You can come over any time.

@ KIS: I am very curious for your set.

@ ibernalq: The ride is indeed a Sabian Hand Hammered, a 20" Medium to be exact. I really love it. And I will not clean my drums ;-).

@ Crusto 62: Don't think I want to play like a demon but I wouldn't be sorry to play more like MP :p.

Holy WOW Frank! I'm really happy for you - that's an outstanding kit you have there! I LOVE white finishes and this one is exceptional. This is definitely one of my favorite kits on the forum...beauty!

Please get us some sound clips and/or videos!

Weird enough, I'm listening Transatlantic right nou, I saw the movie Portnoy playing this kit on Youtube this afternoon, I saw the topic from Collin, and that he is playing for Neal Morse, and than this........

Bram

@ Aydee: the colored speckles change color if you look at them from a different angle; if I'll ever perform with this kit under stagelights it must be awsome :)

@ Zambizzi: Thanks man! I always love your kits too. I think I'll hold on to this one for the next years though. Weren't you getting a new kit from Frank btw?

@ Bram: it's all connected man ;-).
