We played in front of a couple of people recently so we decided to modify the layout of the room to fit some people in even though we didn't need to but w/e. Here's my new kit layout with my nice new throne that i got 4 chrimbo.

POV view. Yes, i do realise that my kick drum is full of $4173 but the difficulty is that i'm doing a lot of foot practice now so i thought it would be a bit better for everyone if i muffle it for now, until i can get a practice kickpad.

I like this throne, i wouldn't have minded grey or blue but it does match the kit, which is awesome.

more than 100 views but no reply? Gr8. What i decided to do with my old throne base was to use it as the bottom part of the china stand so i could have the ride on it's own stand instead of being shoved on the kick liek b4.

As for the other bit, well...

Sry, man. So hard to actually see the kit in the pic with it camo'ed out and all. Is it behind the cymbal stands?

lol i know how you feel *hint hint (just down the page My pearls ;)*

looks good tom angle a bit steep for my liking but whatever and i do like that ride :)

oh and nice thought on the throne. and the china base

I'd reccomend placing your kick as if you had another one. Sit down on you throne and look straight ahead and than position the snare, then the kick pedals evenly on either side. That way you can also lower and flatten your rack (tom) a bit. The whole "kick foreward" setup makes little to no sense to me.

I would actually agree with that... it would be a lot more comfortable to get the double pedal driveshaft to be horizontal in front of you, rather than bent away.

What you mean your 3 page thread or w/e it is? Lolz yeah the ride is utterly gr8. I've not been keen on the idea of having my toms flat really but i guess it might be a bit steep for some.

The idea crossed my mind actually. It would also probably help with sorting out the ride placement too. The trubz is that i am unlikely to fit it like that in my room.

Okay i had to go back to the original setup with the ride over the top because it wasn't really working with the ride on the stand due to the mad heavieness of the ride making it difficult to have it over the top of the kick without the stand over-turning.

Also, as for the setup i changed the angle of the kick drum slightly. The thing is though, that it does look straight but actually as this next pic demonstrates, it's the seat that's offset which puts it pretty much centre with the pedals.
