Nice! Looks like a superstar or rockstar set... great drums. I also like your cymbals!

Thanks guys! Yeah it is a Tama Rockstar. I plan on getting an all new shell pack soon, maybe some Starclassics or something. And most of those cymbals are new from christmas so barely two weeks old.

My b8 hats suck. To get an... acceptable sound I had them almost touching. Maybe like 1/4" when they are at normal height, they ring forever

Yeah I want to get the Sabian AAX Fast Hats. They have three small vent holes drilled on the bottom hat for an awesome "chik" sound.

i just replaced my b8 hats got some xcelerators great hats you should check em out it just took me a week or so to acclimatise to them

Interesting set of crashes. With the bright as hell AAX stage on one side and the HHX evo on the other, you have two cymbals that sound about as different as two cymbals from the same company can. Do you use one cymbal or the other for different situations, or do you like the conflicting sounds of the crashes for every situation?

Very nice set of Sabians though. I wish Santa had brought me that Evo. Obviously you were nicer last year than I was. :)

You can't go wrong with a set of Tama's. Well done. Nice pies as well.

Thanks for sharing.

Nice set!!

How do you like the Evolution crash?
I'm considering buying it, but it looks quite thin to me.
Would it sound good playing metal on it?
And how is the durability?

Bram

The AAX stage crash is actually darker sounding then the HHX Evolution. I use the Evo as my main crash cause it responds faster and its louder/brighter. The AAX stage is a bit heavier and i use that for fills/heavy parts. When you smack both with those wood drumsets its quite amazing. They are very different sounding cymbals, but together they sound great.
Thanks by the way!

I play metal, and i hit the Evo pretty hard. Its an awesome cymbal! Blake Richardson of Between the Buried and Me recorded The Great Misdirect with two Sabian AAX Evolution's and its an overall amazing cymbal and is really loud. It is thin, but it definitely holds up. I would highly recommend it

I spy a Wuhan.

I approve of this set. Nice setup, and it gets points for being a tama.
