Cocktail-Jam kit...sounds amazing! Kick is punchy enough, toms and snare are great. Unbelievably portable.

Here is my Tama Superstar Hyperdrive i purchased in 2013.
I use 5 piece 12x7 rack, 14x12 floor, 16x14 floor, 22x18 bass and 14x5.5 snare. It came in an amzing matte black finish that made me fall in love with it :) enjoy.
Apologies for the bad photos, i am planning on doing some good ones soon :)

Getting a bad case of G.A.S.

They just look like a blast to play

They are! I'm digging the snare especially.

I've got a Yamaha Al Foster HipGig Sr. kit that I'm going to be selling...with the Cocktail-Jam, it's a little redundant.

Now, why did you have to go and put a stinky ol' Tama kit in front of a perfectly good Vader poster? ;P

In all seriousness good stuff all.

Here's my new (to me anyway) Tama SIlverstar Limited in Tamo Ash. Basically, I bought it on eBay for 500 and had to rescue it - the edges on all the drums were dinged in several places, The inside of the batter side bass drum had a crack in it, it had EC2's but the prior owner (destroyer) put window insulation tape underneath the heads and matted to the shell. Unreal... But I fixed it with glue/wood putty/150 grit sandpaper and it sounds enormous (love them). I also made it into a virgin kick by using the support plate - sanded with emery cloth and polished with high grade metal polish, rubber gasket underneath, new screws, nylon and stainless steel washers so metal never meets wood, and voila! My new gigging kit (My renowns could not hold up frequency-wise to the guitarist on un-mic'd gigs - bass drum mic-only). The snare is a 50's round badge that my daughter painted years ago after I refinished the shell. Hardware is yamaha and sonor mostly, except the left snare stand is a vintage ludwig I keep for sentimental reasons.

This is my kit I got when I was in high school in ~1990 back in Florida. Now here they are about 24 years later out in Seattle.

Totally Seasons in the Abyss. And thanks. I am glad someone likes it. It took a fair amount of time to drag them all out and give them a reasonable touch up before the photo shoot, lol.

I can't tell you how many pre-internet hours I spent turning the pages in the Tama catalog. Most of my favorite drummers were playing Tama back in the day. Charlie from Anthrax, Dave from Slayer, Lars from Metallica. So a combination of obsessing over these catalogs and watching VHS tapes like Anthrax's N.F.V. (Nice Fucking Video) and seeing Charlie's Tama kit shaking and pulsating as he pounds out the intro to Among the Living, was enough to make me feel like I needed to get my hands on some of my favorite gear. And back then, hardly anyone could touch Tama in the hardware department. They made great long-lasting stuff that worked!

I appreciate your effort and can relate to the thumbing of Tama catalogs.

Along with the Tama drummers you mentioned, I also liked Simon Phillips', Jonathan Mover's and Scott Rockenfield's Artstar II kits.

Those were the days!
