The ridiculously priced ebay gear thread.

I got this early 80s TAMA Superstar kit on Craigslist for 350.00

It came with all the stands and cymbals even a Camco pedal. The snare is a rosewood, it is worth more then I paid for the entire kit.

A pair of barely used 14" Sabian Xcellerator hats for $125.00. When they arrived they were packed in a padded Paiste cymbal bag.

Well, I got it on Craigslist, like someone up there ^^^^, but it was still an AMAZING deal. I got a 14" white Yamaha SFZ Snare, in pretty good condition (after I cleaned it), for....$20. It's retail price is $450 on most websites.

Then my marching band percussion instructor gave me a Remo White Max drum head. Now all I need is a new reso head, and I'm good to go! (The one that came with the snare was a SEVERELY warped Attack.

As a side note, I'll sell it to whoever wants it. PM me the price.

Hmmm... from the past six months or so
2 Sonor Force kits (NOT shell packs) for $550 each shipped. Both were brand new in boxes. I thought these were really cheap for a nice kit.
14" Paiste 2002 Heavy hats - $105 shipped really good condition. top hat label is almost gone
13" Sabian HHX Groove hats - $185 shipped. Pretty good for a new pair.

I do find alot better deals on craigslist
14" A custom mastersound hats, 18" A custom Fast Crash, 18" A custom Projection Crash & a 21" A Sweet Ride for $300 altogether ---- sweetest deal I've had
17" Paiste signature fast crash & 18" Paiste signature Mellow crash for $250

Well I like to think I got a bargain. I got a Pearl Masterworks six piece kit, 24k carat gold lugs and rims. DW9000 double pedal and hi-hat stand. Pearl Icon Rack, eight Pearl boom arms. Four crashes all Z and A Custom. (Brand New) Paiste Signature Ride. A Custom quick beat hats. 14" Oriental China. K and A Custom splash.

All cased and hardware bags.

All for $6000 Aus Dollars. Drums just on there own cost the guy $13,500 from Pearl.
All in all he spent $18,000........it is now my pride and joy and turns heads everywhere I set it up ; - )

Yeah, and to think that I could have bargained even more. The guys selling it found it in their neighbor's trash (they weren't the richest people ever, to say the least) and put that, along with some other drums (including a Roger's kit, which got taken before I came), and some other marching bass drums. But I had the advantage of my dad's iPhone, and looked up the cost of it before I bought it.

That's a total score!

Yeah, there are a lot of amazing deals out there right now. I know, because I've recently sold some stuff on eBay that went for way less than it should have. Definitely a buyer's market right now.

Its like some people dont know what things are actually worth. There is nothing around my area for Craiglist....sort of annoying.

Sure he did... Or he is telling the truth, and it was the neighbor's son, not him, who stole it from the high school band room.

I don't know, but I don't think so. The bottom head was SUPER warped, and the top head wasn't even finger-tightened. The drum was so scratched up, it looked like someone just stopped caring, and dropped it on the curb or something.
