My DW Performance Black Velvet kit !!

Hey,
I've been on this forum for a while and I've gotten great help from the people on here, and DrummerWorld's really been of great help to me to choose heads, cymbals and everything else.
I've never taken the time to show my kit, so I figured now was a good time :)
So here it is, it's a DW performance kit, in black velvet finish. It's a 7 piece kit, but I usually play it in a 2 up 1 down or 1 up 1 down configuration, I just feel more comfortable that way.

The first picture is my kit set up at a gig, I don't have the K hybrid crash set up.
The 2nd and 3rd pictures are more recent and they show my whole set of cymbals.
The two last pictures are just to show the finish, it's really beautiful :)

I hope you like it !

Cheers

Nice set-up DB95. It isn't a DW Performance Series kit you have there. Looks to be a Collector's Series (even better).

Is that a Pacific or Mapex hammered brass snare?

Hey man, you've got a beautiful kit, congrats!

And like Ryan said, it isn't a Performance. I'm no DW expert but from the badges I assume is an older DW Collectors, which is the company's flagship kit.

And by the way, I admire drummers who focus on their craft instead of their gear, so congrats for that, it's pretty rare around here!!

Cheers!

Nice looking kit!...actually it is sort of a performance series...it was DW's first stab at an affordable line of drums...I believe they were called drum workshop drums (not DW)....anyway nice looking kit and I'm sure it sounds good as well...

This

It was the series they put out before they started PDP. Nice kit

This isn't a Workshop Series. The Workshop Series had an oval lug.

Hmmm I thought that the first go-round on those kits had the Camco style lug but I also have been known to be wrong about almost everything.

I didn't know the Workshop had a lug change. Maybe I'm the one who got it wrong. I was thinking older Collector's had an oval badge.

Hey Ryan..I think maybe this was an earlier version with same/similar lugs to DW...but I could be wrong as well...:)...If you look closely at badges it does appear that they are the workshop badges...BTW..did your performance series make it to you yet?...

Hi Scorch. Well there is one way to get to the bottom of this...DrummerBoy95, does your DW kit have reinforcement rings?

On a side note Scorch: My kit was put on a UPS plane yesterday and according to UPS tracking, it's out for delivery as I type!
