I will be up grading my gear and getting rid of that second kick shortly though since I'll be playing for a pop singer and this setup will not be very suitable.

Wow!..great looking RTC's...those are nice drums!

Thanks Scorch!

I threw some clear used G2's I had and played with tuning a bit more last night. Still getting a feel for the range of these drums. So far, I am very impressed. I had really been wanting a YAMAHA kit and got this one on trade for a 3 piece 1995 Ludwig kit that I had, so I am really happy that myself and the other guy both got what we wanted.

Lots of great looking yammies here and I think Yamaha's 1978 catalog centerfold said it best without any words. This may be the greatest drumset ad photograph I have ever seen. I picked up the original catalog and have looked at it repeatedly over the years. It never gets old...

My Yamaha Recording Customs. 22, 12, 14, and snare. A 13" rack also came with the kit, but it's an add-on. The 22, 12, 14 all have a satin finish. The 13, a high gloss. Jury's still out, as to if I'll keep the 13, or sell it. Maybe I'll try to de-gloss it. Landed cost for the 5 drums was $995.

Wow!...like the latest setup areFish!...also like your choice of cymbals....I've often thought of switching over to 2002's...
Hey thanks SW! I changed things up a tad since I posted those. I dropped the cymbal hight, unstacked the splash and removed the tom mount from the kick drum.

It'll be a sad thing to see 'em go.

My beloved Yamaha Maple Custom in Piano Black...!! 20" BD with 8/10/12/14/15 TTs. I have a Yamaha 8000 snare but didn't use it here - it's a Sonor HiLite.
