...this is the only piece of Ludwiggery that I have.

and it is for sale with my black oyster dubs.

I bought a Pacific snare used, and swapped the tube lugs onto this snare, and the wood hoops are on my DW 14x6 maple. Buying the snare was cheaper than it would have been to buy the parts.

Here's some old pic's from me my 1980's with 28" kick and my 1990 Super Classic 4ply maple shells

Sweet kits.
I use that same Pearl stand for my tom too.
6.5 BB's as well, but not hammered (that's the chrome one).

SoCalMike, Love the maple with the 28!
Kinda makes me want to put my 28 up again.......almost.
Don't want to haul it anymore haha!

here's my '67 classic. Time for ground up restoration, the sparkle wrap has turned a little dingy yellow.

Never really found out why my kit had 2 diff badge styles though? the 13" and the floor had keystones but the bass and 12" had olive/blue???

I think I did this already in a previous thread but, what the heck, things change all the time so here they are again....

Wow ellenvannin105, your drums and collection of Paiste's absolutely stun me! Do you actually use those gongs in some settings, or are they pretty much just for show? If you wouldn't mind, although this is a Ludwig thread, would you mind giving us specs on ALL (or some, Im just curious :) ) of your cymbals?

Cymbals,(All Paiste:)

16" 2002 Crash
10" Twenty Splash
24" 2002 Ride
16" 2002 Thin China
17" 2002 Wild Crash
20" Twenty Ride
14" Twenty Hi-Hat

Cymbals in the bottom pic:

16" 2002 Crash
10" Twenty Splash
24" 2002 Ride
19" Signature Prototype Light Ride
17" 2002 Wild Crash
18" Signature Prototype Thin Flat Ride
14" Twenty Hi-Hat

1st Rack: Paiste Percussion Set
including:
3 Accent Gongs
1 Finger Cymbal Tree
5 2002 Cup Chimes
1 8" Rotosound
3 Sound Discs
1 Finger Cymbal Pair
5 Extra Thin Cymbals 11" to 15"
1 Sound Plate
6 Accent Cymbals 4" to 8"
1 22" Accent Gong

2nd Rack:
26" Symphonic Gong
22" Accent Gong
16" Symphonic Gong
10" Deco Gong
12" Wuhan Gong
2 Triangles

Drums: Ludwig Classic Maple
14x22" Bass
9x13" Rack Tom
14x14" Floor Tom
16x16" Floor Tom
5x14" Rocker Snare

And yes,I use everything. I play Progressive Rock; my kit is modeled on the old kits used by Carl Palmer,Ian Paice,Bill Bruford,etc....My wife bought me the majority of it as Christmas and Birthday presents. I wouldn't know what to do without my gongs; I had to move the gong racks for acouple of days to make room for my father-in-law to build some new DVD/CD shelves. I was totally gongless during this period. Imagine trying to practice along to ELP records and you have no gong...disgraceful! But I digress....

Hey, I'm real new here. Wanted to hop on board with the Ludwig thread. I never used Evans heads on any drums until I started playing these Vistalites. I always thought they were inferior to Remo. But ultimately Evans heads just sound amazing on this compared to any Pinstripe, Black Dot, Ambassador or Powerstroke 3.

The Supraphonic snare usually has an Ambassador on it but I'm getting a new one this weekend so I'm using this Evans snare temporarily.

Been playing this kit for over a year and it just feels like your favorite pair of shoes. I feel weird that my favorite kit is an acylic kit but I just enjoy playing this kit so much, I play longer because I like the sound I get. Anyway, blah blah. Thanks for lookin.

Third time that I'm going to post my kit. But anyway, glad to be a part of the Ludwig family:

DSC00017.jpg

It is kinda embarassing though 'cause from all the other kits in this thread mine is the cheapest :S But I've come to appreciate it 'cause with good drumheads (Aquarian Response 2, Aquarian Classic Clear) and tuned correctly it sounds awesome! I'm happy with my drums, though I could fall in Love with a lot the kits in this entire thread/forum.

That's a good attitude. You could wind up getting any of these other kits and hating it. You wouldn't be the first. If your kit makes you want to play and you play your best on it, that's the best kit for you.

Here is a new pic of my Ludwig drums. Here are the specs: 22"x18" bass drum, 12"x10" mounted tom, 16"x16" floor tom, 6.5"x14" snare. Zildjian ZBT Cymbals (14" hihats,16" crash, 20" medium ride, 20" rock ride 18" crash(not pictured)). Aquarian drumheads.
