hello this is my sets

I think I spot a ludwig intruder! Nevertheless beautiful drums, especially the dark brown tubs. You just need some more cymbals and then you're set.

hello friends this is my sets: (if you wish see the other set visit: http://www.myspace.com/silvanodelpesce )

Gretsch kits are always beautiful!

A question: did you notice a great change by installing Gibraltar suspension mounts? Did sound quality and volume really increase?

I am planning myself to substitute old Yamaha tom mounts with suspension mounts on my Tamburo Original, but several people told me that sound and volume would not really change (if this question goes out of topic but you would like to answer, you can do it - in Italian - through my profile).

My babies..

Mid 80's Gretsch Customs in Burnt Orange Laquer. 20" kick, 8, 10, 12 toms in jazz/fast sizes. 16" floor w/ matching 5" snare. Found these on Fleabay for $900! That rules! BTW these rarely ever leave the house. Only if the gig pays more than $600 and I can be guaranteed these will be away from drunken patrons!

And these are my newest additions. The Gretsch Catalina Jazz mahogany's. Now these WILL leave the house for gigging! ;)

Dude I'm in Seminole right across the bridge. I like the short toms on the one set. Were those stock??

Sweet stuff tampagretsch. Are you sure that snare matching? The color looks a little off in the picture, maybe it's a camera trick. Anyway beautiful finish. I had the chance to play a kit very similar to yours a couple weeks back for a jazz festival and MAN did it sounds pretty.

Herte it is, updated with a second kick and new cymbal arrangement.

I'm looking into purchasing a Catalina Maple very soon, but I have a question: does the "Tobacco Fade Sunburst" finish look more like the picture on Gretsch's site (upper left), or is it a darker color? The reason I am asking this is because I have seen photos from owners (like those in the other 3 corners), and it looks a lot better in my opinion than on the Gretsch site.

Here's a little comparison:

So, what does it actually look like in person?

Thanks,

Dalton, look at the pics of my kit at the top of the page. The Gretsch add shows a misleading color.

Here's my kit.

USA: 16x20 and 16x24 Kicks, 8x12 Rack, 14x16 and 16x18 Floor Toms, 6.5x14 20 Lug Snare.

Just got up from recording and they have a gorgeous tone, and sound very together. I could talk for days though, so I'll just post a few pics:

Enjoy! Thanks for your time.
