Check out the 50 + year old Zildjian hats that I have had all my life, and we got them used. Sound just like my 14" Paragons.

I've got to put my Sonor Safari in this thread. It's high time that I did.
I love this little puppy.

Why does it seem that every second person on here has a Sonor Safari??
(not that I'm dissing the kit)

Some of these are not tiny kits IMO ... small but not tiny ... A but not AA, if you like.

To qualify as tiny a kit should be unconventionally small rather than a class 4-piece.

How many kits do you have now, Bob?

Well compared to my REAL kit, this thing is tiny. :)

I currently have 5 complete kits.
I am content with that amount for now.
I was thinking of selling the RT kit but Bo and some others talked sense into me and I didn't.

This a small kit with a minimum of stands. I could have easily removed the floor tom and two of the cymbals and taken a picture to have a "tiny" kit.

It's no Suitcase... that's for sure. But check out what a friend just got his dirty little hands on...

It's a Eucalypt and Birch shell, 2002 Premier. Kick is 18x10, 12 and 14 toms, and a 13 snare. Sounds great, and is awesome for the small club shows.

Excuse the dodgy pics.

Had to throw my cocktail kit into the ring! Made by Metropolitan Drum who is no longer in business. 14"x27" main drum, 10" Pearl snare, 6" Tom, and an 8" deep Tom.
All rims mounted. It's a fun little bit of kit!

Here's my recently acquired Sonor jungle kit, shown with my maple snare (from TJS Custom Drums in Arizona) and some assorted cymbals. And some kids' toys. Sorry for the grainy photos.

When my SONOR Safari kit is more than I want to deal with ... I now have the "Back Porch" kit

My band has a gig in a place so small we have to move tables out of a corner to even set up drums, it's a weekly blues invitational jam,
and the kit needs to be very small with fast set-up and take-down. These reconfigured pieces from my full size Pearl kit work very well in their intended roll.

Here are my small kits:
Yamaha Hipgig jr. 16,10,13, Ludwig Acrolite snare
Fibes 16,10,13, Mapex Black Panther Cherry 6x13 snare
Tama Star Classic Performer 18,12,14,14sn, (sold)
Mapex Meridian Maple Manahttan 18,12,14,14sn

I really like this thread and all of the really cool tiny creations that it contains.
There is something about a tiny kit that inspires and comforts me.
Drumming at it lowest common denominator is fun.
It's just drumming for the sake of drumming when I play my tiny kit.
Impressing without being impressive.

It is high time to write my first post in this forum. And it will be in my favourite thread by far. Here is my tiny kit:
