Post your Gig Pics

First gig playing a cajon last week. My hands weren't quite up to the task and got quite bruised during the leadup rehearsals, but then I found that really heavy plastic rods sounded absolutely fantastic, at least in the "simulated drum kit" way that I played it:

That said, playing with those rods did make me look somewhat like I was... erm... doing something else entirely.

Last night's return of the Coliseum.

Open mic debut of my side project. The bass player is only 15. I wanted to show off my new stealth racks but another guy brought 3 more cymbal stands to add to my kit after I set up so the tripods don't belong there. Hard to see from this angle but I added a 12 inch rack tom next to the 14.

Pit Orchestra Set Up

This is my set up for an upcoming musical, A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum. My wife and I will be playing it for 16 performances and 3 previews in four weeks. What a lot of fun.

I know I posted this in another thread but as a gig pic, it belongs here too I guess.

A few action shots of me from some of my various gigs over the summer.

Oh and maybe some of the rest of the band...

Cool pics so far!
I dig your pics Bull!

Live shot from a recent gig.

This is the same kit from the recording session pics in another thread (Driver Seat).

20x26, 9x13, 14x16(x2), 16x18. 6.5 BB snare (& an LP CHROME Bongo Bell :) )
Paiste 2002 CRASH in 20, 22, 24", 15" SE hats. 28" Wuhan Wind Gong.

All flat base cymbal stands (ATLAS, with Gibraltar Brake Tilter tops, long story...). No problems with wobble or anything.
This hat stand is the 2 leg DW 3500, but I use the ATLAS fb a lot too. Just easier on this gig to have regular feet for getting around all the cables on the floor with the set up.

For the 24 being a CRASH, it has a really nice amount of stick sound, and the body/wash doesn't get in the way. The bell is real good, and it crashes like a dream.
I use just the 20 and 24 quite a bit too. The 22 is amazing sounding, but, it's a lot of fun using just hats and 2 cymbals.

First gig with my new Pearl Reference kit, and first long haul covers gig in 10 years... 9pm til almost 2am. Couldn't take my rack, so I had to settle with stands... but the kit sounded awesome... small country pub... rowdy Saturday night crowd

Me playing in a Zeppelin/Plant tribute band. That is a backline kit I am using. I was going for the Bonham Clockwork Orange look but it came across more like Heisenberg.

This is what I set up to play every Thursday night. 1969 Maple Natural Finish Ludwigs (not a thermogloss, the original), all Bonham sizes. 26" Kick 14" and 16" toms. You can't really see the snare but its a 1970 Slingerland maple snare that matches the kit. It sounds so amazing mic'd up! Thought you guys might like to see it!

We played a pub called The Parish.
As support I got to use the main act's kit, which turned out to be an SJC Custom kit.
It was sweet!!!
