ah i see, that makes more sense now, i did try this formula on my snare and it wasn't too bad (we did it a octave lower than the frequency given) but it wasn't impressive enough, the tune bot is...

thanks for all your replies, i thought it would be way harder to work out than the simple calculation i found! i think it was from a book called the drum tuning bible or something?

thats exactly what im after! finding that one perfect tone of the drum to see what it sounds like, i have the mapex saturn limited edition exotic 6 piece, 22 bass, 10 12 14 16 toms, i know these toms...

does anyone know much on this subject? i have a tunebot and want to try tune my drums to their 'perfect' frequency to see what they sound like, ive found out that if you calculate the standing wave...

hey everyone, i'm selling my 6 piece custom hand made Jalapeno shell pack + some extras.

this kit is in perfect condition and just put new skins on the toms about a month ago (Remo Emperor clear)....

oh and i will be moving into a house with a basement room (student house) but don't think it will be good enough for band practice, its half underground as its on a hill so will still be quite noisy

i think whenever they show enough interest.. i used hit things pretending i was drumming, tape paper on the top of boxes to make drums! i had a couple 'fisher price' style plastic kits before hand...

i bought the DP5 pack and then got the rode NT5's for my it a couple months ago, they are amazing so glad i got them, the audix mics are just awesome only done a slight EQ on them for recording and...
