Looks good Sir! I had the first gen. Vision shell pack and you are correct, heads and tuning and these hybrid birch ply shells sound pretty amazing! Pearl is a long time fave.

I personally will recommend Pearl hardware. If you are speaking of hardware in the sense of stands, pedals and the like then Pearl's stuff is top of the heap IMO.

To the best of my recollection, the MMX is Pearl's 7.5mm 6ply maple shell. Drilling shouldn't be a huge issue.

Yeah. I messed with a ton of different heads and found something that gave these beautiful cans some life. Head selection and not giving up made the difference.

Not sure of their fate as of this...

Here's mine. Going into the studio mid May with the 12, 16, 22. Planning to use the MCX on 3 of 7 tracks. I had been having issues with getting my kit dialed in, but I think I have made progress....
