The NOB will have a different sound than the two wooden snares so I wouldn't be afraid of duplicating one of those sizez. I have a Gretsch COB in 6.5 and it is my main snare. Of course try to play...

I can concur with the three emntioned above and would add Muscle Shoals to the list. All in the same strain of back up groups that got no mention or fame.

One, how tight it the snare side head, and two check to see if the batter head is seated properly. Loosen it up and turn it on the drum. It may help.

Every major manufacturer will have a set in that price range that will do you well and last a lifetime except maybe DW. However you will get the best deal by buying a better set used as others have...

Two things. When you turn down the radio and do this, you brain catches up pretty quick so that by the second beat you are back on and feel pretty good. This test needs to be longer than 20 beats to...

I would say my favorite throws are the ones in the 20 -30 dollar range. You engage then dis-engage them. I don't see spending 60-70 dollars on a throw when 99 percent of the time we dis-engage them...
