Re: Pearl Roadshow Jazz Kit

The Vision bop shell pack does exist.
$600. 8x12, 14x14, 16x18....
Still you are talking 16" depth on kick and$600 which takes you a bit
out of the budget budget.

Re: Pearl Roadshow Jazz Kit

Re: Pearl Export

The new Export series is decent... A tad dry for my taste, but for the money you get a pretty nice set up.
The 830 hardware (with a hard nod to the included 930 single demonator pedal.)
...that...

Re: Pearl Roadshow Jazz Kit

Pearl is on it with their Chinese plant!

I agree with the fact that at this price point, the quality and overall bang for the buck is amazing. I grabbed a Ludwig Breakbeats kit that is an...

Re: Sonor Players Kit from Sam Ash

Naw. When I take the micro kit out, I am trying to minimize overall weight of the gear. The drums themselves are featherweight so that plus a few Pearl 830 cymbal stands, hh stand and pedal. My wife...

Re: Sonor Players Kit from Sam Ash

Yeah I saw that soon after. For me the portability and weight factor were issues.
Premier is having a similar kit built in all birch - for a $100 less, but the qc seems sketch from what I have...

Re: Sonor Players Kit from Sam Ash

I came pretty close to grabbing one of these kits.. As far as speaking to a sales rep on the phone. They are out of stock, from what the kid @SA said.

It is gratifying to say the least when your...

Re: Comparing ones abilities with others

I'm right with ya!
And totally agree that the drummer who plays with a musical ear gets noted first. That is the kind of drummer I have become over the years. Lay it down for the song and add the...

Re: Comparing ones abilities with others

I try to glean techniques and tricks by watching the speed freeks. I don't get discouraged, I try to let it motivate me to push a little harder. Will I ever develop chops like Thomas Lang or Gavin...

Re: New Pearl Wood Fiberglass

Very interesting Pearl using Kapur.. very warm and round by nature...lay up a layer of nicely finished fiberglass to let these drums project. Betting they sound killer.

Re: Ludwig Breakbeats Review
