Re: Is it safe to play songs that require a double kick pedal with just a single pedal?

The link below is the son emulating the father who used a single pedal. Because the double pedal was not invented at that time and the Father had the fastest right foot on the planet to date, and...

Re: ...for the jazz cats ...

I've been ripping my music to the hard drives for storage for many years, and lately because of the larger size hard drives available, I sometimes rip to a WAV format as opposed to the MP3 format...

Re: Drums suck!

Just thinking from the shirt sleeve, I can think of ways to measure the phase change from the batter to the resonant head. Of course you can measure it in both states with the vent and without the...

I am having a hard time finding this CD/ DVD for sale from other stores besides Amazon. In the past when Amazon offered the music on the CD as well as an auto-rip version, the sound quality is truly...

Re: ...for the jazz cats ...

I was looking at the Smith Video saying the same thing to myself, and then I scrolled up to your post and I also like the Art Blakley tube better.

Re: Shoes and Gloves

I like playing with just socks, but sometimes my foot slips on the pedal. So I wear very well worn out boots, that are very flexible and do not slip on the pedal. Also when I play with just socks,...

Re: Importance of a good drum throne?

I have a bad back. After playing for a while I started noticing that my back would hurt. So, I tried to analyze what I might be doing wrong. I noticed that I would hunch over the snare, bending at...

Re: Two Drummers, One Band

Two drummers sells more drums. So if more bands do two drummers the price of drums and cymbals will go down, due to more mass production.

You would think companies like Ludwig, Pearl, Gretch,...

Re: Drum tab

If I can make a guess for this reason of not many drum parts written and available on the web, I think it is that the two instruments are very different in their ways to learn how to play with...

I've been playing around with Guitar-Pro6 software writing down my drum ideas and adding in chords and melodies and sending them my band mates.
I can write in guitar, piano, trumpet, trombone and...

I've been a fan of Steve Reich's music since I was a teenager back in the 1970's. He would have concerts in large lofts in Manhattan. Some friends and I would go to them on Friday or Saturday...
