If you can promote your drum line, all the better

Having said that I defiantly...

Re: Jazz players - did we get this right?

As a long time listener of jazz I have noticed that there has been a move towards a drier sound by new upcoming players; I have been hearing this on the local jazz station of late so the dry sound on...

Re: Manchester Drum Show - pictures & video

Thanks for the pics & audio. Interesting to see some brands that I am not familiar with.
Your drums have a great sound for sure, love the tuning on the toms and the kit overall.

Re: Elvin Jones Documentary

I have heard this from other musicians as well; Joni Mitchell would ask her musicians to play a certain color to get the feel she wanted; since she is a painter as well it makes perfect sense to me....

Re: The Muscle Shoals Sound

Re: What are your stories of when people found out you are drummer?

Usually there is interest and I'm asked if I'm playing in a band and where.
They loose some interest when I tell them no and that I mostly host jam sessions at a great rehearsal space I use.
I also...

Re: Are 13" toms obsolete?

I got rid of my 12". I could never get the tuning right for my taste, not that it is inherent at all in that size drum but I bought a 13" and it works better for me with the 16", I use a 10" and 14"...
