Re: For those searching for new drums

I think a lot of the people that post these threads do so in order to start a dialogue rather than be burried in one.

When I first started on these drum boards, the "what sticks do you use "...

Re: canadian drummers

The only differences between most Canadian, American, and European drummers are borders, oceans, accents and hockey jerseys.

Re: Getting away from the hi-hat

I also mostly play the safe and boring four four on my four by four.

When I think of myself as a drummer, I am never happy with my lack of flash.

When I think of myself as a musician, I am...

Re: Vintage in style?

I did not start playing the drums until I was 35 years old. That was almost 18 years ago. The music that is encoded in my DNA is primarily classic rock, pop, British Invasion from the late sixties,...

Re: DW Classic Series Kits & Snares

I love my classics.

I bought a five piece 22x14,16x16,14x14,12x8, with a 14x5.5"snare. My evil plan at that time was to eventually pick up a 24x14" bass drum, 13x9" rack, and a 14x6.5" snare....

Re: A Tale of Two Bass Drums

I also play a 22 and 24.

My preference is for the 24 for most of the reasons that you list as "not as crazy abouts" with yours. Both of my bass drums are 14" depth, which to my ears seems to give...
