Funny I just broke my Live Oak Customs cherry at a gig this afternoon. No damage YET. I expect by the end of the Summer they will have a few road scars. Bought them to beat them :-)

Not to hijack this thread, just wondering if anyone may be in the market for a 48" Zildjian imported gong. It's welded from 5 pieces of metal. When I bought it way back in 1975 from E.U. Wurlitzer...

Snare and the rest of the kit for that matter sounded great to me. The playing was also great, smooth, fluid and dynamic. Nice chops.

Have you considered used? I picked up a 3 piece for $800 and added a 10" tom for $110.00, so for under a grand I got 4 pieces. Great condition.
