Re: THE CLASSIFIEDS - For Sale / Wanted

I did think of that, but I hear it's not too easy to do for a novice like me. Besides I already ordered the 9000. Kind of excited to try it out. Thank you for trying to save me the money though :-)

Re: THE CLASSIFIEDS - For Sale / Wanted

Re: Are 20" Bass Drums Easier To Play On Than 22"

I have two kits that I use, one being a 22x18 the other 20x18. When I use the 20x18 I use the Gibraltar bass drum lift so I don't need to make any pedal adjustments. The drum is off the floor which...

Re: How can I make a shallow snare sound deeper

I would start with a thicker head, Emperor or maybe the Evans reverse dot. Also tune it low to mid range and back off the snare wires a couple of turns.

Re: Tempo Training Program?

For me I find before I perform I need to get my head into a relaxed state. I have a tendency to rush the tempo if I am not mentally prepared.

I found the following have helped me a bit....

Re: Bass drum triplets - rusty / struggling :(

Being 61 myself I have a similar situation. My band sometimes calls for American Band by GFR. Easy enough intro but I can't do the beginning intro drum fill clean and in time consistently, I...

Re: Are you in shape

It's not accurate for drumming, walking yes. However you are burning lots of calories drumming and working out your cardio, arms and legs. If I didn't drum I would look like the Stay Puft...

Re: Help! Can't keep time without a metronome

Re: DW performance or Tama SC birch bubinga

I picked up a set of DW Performance. Great sounding kit, I'm just not a fan of their hardware so I went back to Yamaha Live Oak. Can't comment on the Tama but I do hear they are geat drums.
