If you play mainly Rock, I would probably go with something with a little more depth myself.
But, I've got a Hyperdrive kit myself and I can get the toms to sound pretty damn big, it's just a matter...

I have the Joey Snare aswell, tuned nice and tight for the glorious POP it produces.

When I had it tuned lower for a more rock-ish sound, it was definitely quieter.
So yes, perhaps try tuning it...

If you're mind is set on getting either an Imperialstar of Superstar, definitely go the Superstar.
I've got a Superstar kit and cannot fault it at all, much better quality than the Imperialstar.

Yeah, im still a bit worried about having used it.
But, i haven't noticed any new blemishes or anything since the clean 2 days ago.
I definitely won't be using it again for my drums, just for peace...

I did my 2 rack toms and 14" floor tom today with Groove Juice and they turned out pretty good, nice and shiiiny.
Tomorrow I'll do the bass drum and 16" floor tom.
