PERFECT! What reso? How is it tuned? What beater? This is perfect- admittedly flat but I think thats what we get with small kicks- no open ringing kick which is just fine. Thanks

I have a 10 year and we tooklessons from when he was 5 until 8 and he is killer on the kit. Personally, I think if your son is taking a lesson and playing 30 minutes a day I would leave well enough...

Sounds like you need to just shed whatever is on the set list.

I think a lot of that music has hi hat work that is machine made or at least sounds that way to me.
