I didnt say I dont like my Sq2 kit, I absolutely LOVE them...I just prefer to play the Ascents out. The Sq2s stay in my studio.

Re: Live custom vs. Sonor ascent

Own the Ascents, and absolutely LOVE them! They tune easily high and low and I get tons of compliments on them. Do yourself a favor and buy the Sonors.

My Ascents are fantastic tubs. I would recommend them to anyone. They tune easily are very punchy and are VERY resonant. I also have a set of maple SQ2s that I play in my studio...the Ascents are...

Re: Sonor quality control problems!

I had a bit of filler in my Ascent 16" tom, other than that I have had spectacular success with all my Sonor purchases including a 7-pc Q2 set, multiple snares (Greb/Harrison 135/Protean) and my 7-pc...

As a referee for the AHL, I was always told that the best refs were the one that werent noticed. Do your job, dont distract from the game and youre golden. I apply the same theory to drumming - get...
