tune them differently if you...

Re: nervousness, confronting stage-fright

I'd be in the same situation if I didnt give myself a kick up the backside when I was 13.
We were playing infront of about 400 people, my first ever gig. What made it worse was we were a rock band,...

Re: Independance of right arm and right foot.

This happens to everyone during their learning process, starting to play the BD on off beats is like starting to break away from the more simpler beats. I'd say you do this...
Play the hi-hat and BD...

Re: Playing both feet in syncopation.

Playing both feet in syncopation.

I've been practising double bass for about 3 months now, but I've encountered a problem.
I can play 16 notes on the BD with both feet by themselves at about 160BPM.
however, when I try to...

Re: Joey Jordison

Sorry, but I couldn't really understand that. :D
Joey's pretty cool, he's a bit of a flash git, overplaying a few times, but I rate his speed.

Re: Travis Barker

You've hit the nail on the head.
I 100% agree with you, it's like you see drumming videos to famous songs on youtube, and the people are doing amateur mistakes such as not playing semi quaver bass...

Re: Advise on new kit choice please/

Wow, very tough choice...
Of course, you MUST try before you buy, but I'd say either the sonor 3007 or the pro M.

I somehow know how to play a triplet roll.

I've only really ever played triplets on the bass, so I decided to see how it was done on youtube. I then tried it myself on the snare. and could somehow do it up to 170BPM cleanly.
I just...

Yeah, like the title says, is the snare any good? I could "borrow" it, but I was just wondering if
it would be worth it.

Re: Why Do I Hide the Chops Around Others

Thats exactly it, think about the first fill you learnt, I bet you wern't confident about playing that fill straight away. It's just being able to play the fill at any time. Just practise it, and...
