Well, as you mentioned in the drum head section, you broke an Evans ST Dry head on your snare, so I would suggest backing off a little bit.

Well then outside of having any interest in applying for any grants, what would happen if you worked for a year, took lessons and then re-applied the next year. You would have a lot more cash

the question on the difference in Euro's is yes. The Gretsch kit is a better kit. Gretsch is Gretsch, not DW lite

I'm thinking just the opposite on the twisting back theory. I would rather my seat turn a bit rather than me stretching my lower back to reach a drum or cymbal. This keeps your back over your hips...
