What i'm talking about is a few key exercises in developing the slow twitch muscle fibers that allow your limbs to get tired less quickly. Along with endurance training that is specific for drum...

Didn't realize there's a wrong way of doing a double stroke? First of all there are plenty of wrong ways to do a double stroke. Whereas the second stroke might be too weak compared to the first...

This is what i do (although i have more time, about 2-3 hours per day).....

In order...

1) Feet
a.15 mins of 8th notes on a single pedal while grooving. Ex. @130bpm you are playing 8th notes...

What frustrates you the most?

What frustrates me more then anything in the world when it comes to practicing is how i can be doing 16th notes on the bass drum (single foot) to a speed of lets say 130bpm for a month straight...

wildbill is right. The Mapex and pdp are good sets but they are mid-level, not professional level like the Starclssic

Here it is all set up. Still couldnt get the rack toms to sit where i want them. Never used a tom stand before. Also left out some cymbals so you can see it better.
PS kit is not yellowed at all.

Actually, the kit is at a local music store called Alto Music. There are 3 in the the whole tri-state area. Been around for years. Very very reputable music store.

They do sound killer. When i tested them at the store i was just blown away. Especially the sound of the 18" floor tom. Holy shit. The decay never stopped

I have a ddrum dominion which is the older version of the dios and i love it. With good tuning and good heads kit sounds like a $2000 kit. But Gretsch is good too. Just not crazy about the catalina....

Now are these drums inferior to the bubinga? I know the bubinga are the top top quality. Are these a lower quality drums and what year do you think these are?
