What is a Thunder snare drum? I know that it is steel but I have never heard of it, and I don't know whether I should buy it to replace my Pearl Forum one that came with my kit?

A friend of mine played at his own wedding with his own band (he was the drummer. I now am as he lives a day's drive away) I think they got someone else to play drums during the rest of the day...
