go to any predominantly black baptist church on either coast or in the south

while the preacher is preaching the band basically rips licks in between sentences to dramatize what he is saying ....

it has taken on a new meaning in recent years .... it apparently now means any linear pattern in 16th note, sextuplet or 32nd notes played quickly

gospel licks when played correctly are executed ...

I've done both

done probably 15 DIY tours
and payed on to one tour .... and as a result was asked to play on the 2006 Warped tour

made a lot of good connects on the "buy on" ... had some...

but just curious.... are you calling it a "gospel chop" simply because it is mostly linear ?

there is more to a "gospel chop" than playing a linear pattern

you play it more...

I get demos sent to me all the time with programmed drums

a lot of times the artist and / or producer wants me to play exactly what is there .

never had a problem

bring a hot plate and cook pasta and whatever else is easy and non perishable .... do not waste money on eating out

just about every Walmart in the country allows over night parking so you guys...

Meshuggah sells a ton of records and is constantly on tour playing to huge crowds .... thats seems plenty appreciated to me

and plenty of these DJs...

I've been payed by a record label
I've been payed by the artist directly

but never a producer

a producer is under contract...
