Re: What is it with the colour black?

Thats exactly why i don't like black. Like most people, I first started drumming on a black wrapped started kit and when the chance came to either have the same colour or get a nice, glossy autumn...

Mahogonys a wood for hard hitters and isn't that sensitive/ good with brushes. Just look at yamahas rock tour kit for proof. Brady snare drums are good though.

Re: My Phattie Custom Drums

Re: My first kit upgrade, what should I get?

+1 I can tell you now, if you get a sonor force 3007, put emperors or ambassadors on it, it can get low down or high, ping like easily. You can choose between drilled or undrilled bass drums aswell...

What is it with the colour black?

Every where I look, nowadays I see loads and loads of black colour drum kits and I don't get why people would buy that colour for, lets say a mid to pro drum kit when you can get awesome exotic...

Re: New Kit. Help!!!

Sonor Force 3007s are brilliant drums as well - 5 different configs and 9 different finishes and a lot of add ons to choose from and all maple shells, 2.3mm powerhoops and fantastic build. Apparently...

Re: RotodruM new concept drum

You may as well just take the bottom shells off. A good idea would be to do what you did, just get some different length shells that you can slot in the middle and then you could sell them seperately...

Re: Sonor Safari

I can make my Sonor force3007 kit into a jungle kit even though I have a 22" bd, 10" and 12" toms and 14" and 16" ftoms with a 14" snare - I just ditch the bass drum and 12" tom and put the bass drum...

Re: First drum set for function band.

They are a less well known version of zildjian and they are cheaper cause lots of people will buy zildjian cause they are well known so Istanbul have to keep their prices down to atract customers....

Re: New Drummer - Unsure of what brand to buy

I would also recommend buying a really cheap drum kit and then saving up for one that's 800 plus (like a Sonor force3007 or the newer equivelant) or saving up for a bit longer and then taking the...
